What is Operating System?
An Operating System is program that as an intermediate between a user of computer on the computer hardware. Operating system acts as resource manager. Every computer system or phone must have one operating system to run other programs. Application or software like MS Office, Notepad, Browsers. These all software need to run in computer on specific platform.
Operating System helps us to communicate with the computer without knowledge of machine learning and computer languages. An Operating System is a program that controls the execution of application programs and acts as application programs and acts as an interface between the user of a computer and the computer hardware.

Types of Operating Systems :
Batch Operating System : In Batch operating system one collection of pool of process called batch is loaded into main memory and terminated after completion. Some computer process are very lengthy and time consuming. The user of a batch operating system never directly interacts with the computer. In this batch OS, every user prepares his job on an offline device like a punch card and submit it to the computer operator.

Real time Operating System : Real time operating system is the system which subjected to real time that is response should be guaranteed within a specified timing system or system should meet the specified deadline. A real time operating system time interval to process and respond to inputs is very small. Example : Space Software systems are real time operating system.

Multi-Tasking or Time Sharing Operating System : Time sharing on multi-tasking is a logical extension of multi programming multiple jobs are executed by the CPU switching between them, but the switches occur is frequently that the user may interact with each program while it is running and it time sharing operating system uses CPU scheduling & multi programming to provide each user with a small portion of a time share computer.
Multi Processor Operating System : Multi Processor system have more than one processor in close communication sharing the computer bus clock & sometime memory and peripheral devices. These types of systems are used when very high speed is required tp process a large volume of data. These systems are used like in satellite control, weather forecasting.
